This summer is particularly decisive for French high-level sports and parasports. And to maximize our chances of medals and ensure that our athletes are at their peak physical condition, RGENTec has a few tips in store!
Athletes' skin problems: why should they not be neglected?
Unfortunately, sports and injuries often go hand in hand. We think of fractures, muscle tears, and joint injuries. And rightly so: they can bring an immediate halt to practice. The risks are well-known and identified. High-level athletes are therefore supervised, monitored, and treated to prevent and heal them.
But what about what we might call "minor injuries"? Burns, irritations, and discomfort may not be truly serious. When competing at an international level, there is little chance that a skin lesion will stop us. However, we would be wrong to minimize them. Every pain felt increases the risk for athletes of altering their posture to compensate, sometimes unconsciously. These issues affect concentration and may even impact performance.
Fortunately, solutions exist to prevent, protect, and repair the minor injuries of athletes, so that a blister never becomes an obstacle to medals.
For Teddy Riner and the French judo team: stop the tatami burns!
Repeated friction of the feet and hands on the tatami mats can cause abrasions to the skin. The skin begins to heat up and may even tear, with sweat intensifying the phenomenon.

Prevention side: A supple, hydrated skin will be more resistant. To strengthen his skin, we recommend Teddy Riner apply the After Sports Ritual cream daily. The combination of its patented active ingredient, RGTA®, and hyaluronic acid helps regenerate the skin. In routine use, it sustainably improves the quality of the skin tissue.
Care side: The Bye Bye Burn repairing cream soothes burns while promoting the regeneration of the skin. It optimizes healing and recovery.
For Pauline Ferrand-Prevot (MTB), Cassandre Beaugrand (Triathlon), and Marie Patouillet (Cycling):
When practiced intensively, and even more so when riding at an international level, cycling can cause all sorts of burns and irritating discomfort, mainly around the perineum. The cause? The repeated friction of the sit bones on the saddle.

Did you know that Rudi Altig once said, "A cyclist should take better care of his bottom than his face"?

Prevention side: As often, the key to prevention is to have healthy, well-nourished skin. Here too, we recommend our cyclists and paracyclists follow a foundational treatment with the After Sport Ritual cream.

Care side: After each training session, they can also complete their skincare routine with Bye Bye Burn cream.
For the men's and women's handball teams
(But these tips are obviously valid for all team sports and indoor sports!)
Handball, volleyball, or basketball are not gentle on the skin and joints of athletes. Between the rough contacts with the ball, the falls, and the shocks, their skin is not spared.
The RGTA® technology is the ally of our handball players’ skin. This patented, one-of-a-kind innovation optimizes the natural tissue regeneration process. After an injury, the skin heals better, faster, and returns to its original structure. Perfect for repairing the skin of our handball teams between two matches.

With the Shock and Roll roll-on, they can relieve and soothe joint tissues. Less discomfort and faster recovery: that’s what could help us win medals!
Alexis Hanquinquant, para triathlon
For parasports, particularly for athletes who wear prostheses (like Alexis Hanquinquant, who runs and pedals with specialized equipment), there is an added risk of irritation and inflammation around the stump.

The key to limiting discomfort? Prevention!
The challenge is to strengthen the tissues in contact with the prosthesis to minimize irritation. Every evening, on clean and dry skin, applying the After Sport Ritual cream will provide optimal hydration.
Is your skin already irritated? In that case, to accelerate recovery and healing, you’ll need the Bye Bye Burn cream!
However, a note of caution: we recommend applying the creams only if you do not plan to put on the prosthesis immediately afterward, for example before going to bed, to avoid any maceration effect.
Flora Vautier, para-table tennis:
Table tennis players face the same joint problems as tennis players, with tennis elbow being a prime example. And like all discomforts related to tendons, the Shock and Roll serum is perfect for relieving pain and warm-ups.

But for athletes like Flora Vautier, who compete in a wheelchair, it is also essential to take care of the skin on their hands. Indeed, the repeated friction of the palms on the wheels can also cause irritations and blisters. To minimize the risks, it is essential to prepare and maintain the skin, strengthening it daily.
The After Sport Ritual is ideal for a preparatory routine. And just before the competition, it hydrates and softens the skin without leaving a greasy or slippery film.
